We are delighted to have award-winning modern folk song and storytelling trio Harp & a Monkey joining us for one of our special 'in the courtyard' matinee shows.
Their ‘Tall Tales & Truths’ show will feature traditional and original songs and stories that run the gamut from Naked Lifesavers, to ill-fated Medieval pilgrims, and gorilla gardeners to bare-knuckle boxers.
Critically acclaimed, these Lancastrian troubadours have been touring their wares for the best part of two decades and are stalwarts of the British folk scene. For the uninitiated, expect beguiling stories and music in which humour and poignancy seamlessly intertwine under a unique sound bed of accordions, harps, banjos, glockenspiels and more.
